SeaDream Yacht Club has announced the appointment of James Scott as Trade Sales Director for the United Kingdom and Ireland, underscoring the company’s continued commitment to the region and to its travel trade partners.

Scott brings more than ten years of experience across the cruise and luxury travel sectors, having held senior sales and commercial roles with a number of leading brands including Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Cunard, Oceania Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Holland America Line and Seabourn.

Based in the United Kingdom, Scott will be responsible for overseeing all trade sales activity across the UK and Ireland. His remit includes strengthening existing trade relationships, expanding distribution, and supporting travel advisors through targeted training, strategic initiatives, and market-specific support.

“James brings a strong understanding of the UK and Ireland travel trade, combined with a considered, relationship-led approach to sales,” said Andreas Brynestad, of SeaDream Yacht Club. “His experience across premium and luxury cruise brands, together with his focus on long-term partnerships, makes him a valuable addition to the team as we continue to grow our presence in this important market.”

Most recently, Scott served as Sales Manager for UK & Ireland at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, where he led regional trade strategy, partner development and revenue growth. Prior to this, he held senior commercial and leadership roles at Cunard and Oceania Cruises, managing regional sales teams, developing account strategies and acting as a key liaison with the travel advisor community.

“SeaDream’s approach to yachting is truly distinctive,” said Scott. “Its intimate scale, unhurried pace and highly personal service set it apart within the luxury market. I look forward to working closely with our trade partners to introduce more guests to an experience that prioritises time, access and meaningful connection.”

Scott’s appointment follows a series of strategic sales and leadership investments by SeaDream Yacht Club as the family-owned company continues to strengthen its global sales network.
